Berry Trifle Jumble
The easist trifle ever - all mixed and jumbled together so that you you get the whole trifle experience in one bite! So easy and quick, it’s just the recipe your need for those times when you need a dessert now! And it’s great for the 4th of July - RED, WHITE & BLUEBERRY!
BERRY TRIFLE JUMBLE
3/4 of an Angel Food Cake - store-bought or homemade 1 1/2 cups heavy cream 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 1 cup powdered sugar squeeze of lemon juice 2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced 1 cup fresh blueberries 1 cup fresh raspberries 1 cup fresh blackberries 2 bananas, sliced thinly (optional)
-Break the cake up into roughly, 1-inch chunks. Place in a large bowl.
-Whip the cream until soft peaks form. Add the powdered sugar and softened cream cheese and whip until quite stiff. Gently mix the cream mixture in with the cake chunks.
-Rinse and drain all the berries and mix together with the banana slices in another medium bowl. Carefully add to the cake mixture along with the lemon juice and toss until mixed. Do not overmix or the cake will turn into mushy crumbs.
-Chill for 1 hour and then serve. Garnish top with more cream and a few berries, toasted sliced almonds and/or toasted coconut if desired.
