Creamy Spicy Sausage Dip

A 3-ingredient dip recipe that is packed with flavorful sausage, creamy cheese and a bit of spicy tomatoes and green chiles. When you need a great dip in a hurry, this is the recipe to have on hand!

Creamy Spicy Sausage Dip

1 pound Italian sausage

3/4 pound softened cream cheese

1 can mild Rotel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chiles

-In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high beat, breaking it apart until browned. Drain off the excess fat and return to skillet.

-Add the cream cheese and the Rotel Tomatoes and cook and stir over medium heat until well blended and mixture just begins to bubble. Remove from heat and spoon into a serving dish. Serve warm with baked pita wedges or chips. Makes 2 cups.

3 ingredients is all that you need to make this super dip!

Cook the sausage, drain the fat, stir in cream cheese and Rotel tomatoes until bubbly - that’s it!

Serve warm dip with toasted pita wedges or chips.

Serve it as a dip or as an entree for a light dinner. Immensely satisfying!

PERSNICKETY NOTES:

*To make pita wedges, use 3 pita or Greek flat bread loaves. Cut each loaf into 8 pie-shaped wedges. Brush a baking try with olive oil then place the wedges on the tray. Sprinkle more olive oil over wedges and season with garlic & herbs and a bit of salt. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 15- 20 minutes or until crunchy. Makes 24 wedges.
